Allotments can be great for food production, mental health and for the environment. Too often they are filled with inputs of artificial fertilisers, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides all wrapped in plastic and driven there in cars.

Another way is possible.
John Sharpe will explain the methods that he has adopted over the last 30 years to make sure that his allotments are productive for both the crops and the biodiversity that he wants to encourage.
There will also be saved seeds available if you would like to have a go at growing, even if it is in a pot on a windowsill.
