Stuart Ward, who runs Reading Repair Cafe, was interviewed recently on BBC Radio Berkshire, about the concept of Repair Cafes and the activities of Reading Repair Cafe specifically. He stresses that it’s not about having your computer, toaster, or some other item fixed, but learning how to fix it, or at least how it works. As he says, “You’re more in control to tackle something next time. We give people confidence to take the screwdriver to the device!”
